Rebeen Hamarafiq, is an artist working with Drawing, performance, food, video, and different mediums, questioning issues around: body control, social constructions, Urban development and complexities inside culture. He participated in many exhibitions locally and internationally like: Showroom London. Fellows of Contemporary art and MAK centre Lose Angeles. WYSPA Gdansk. Ferdaws Square – Baghdad. 2005 Project Sulaymanya. Exchange project with Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig 2007. Recidency in collaboration between ArtsAdmin, LADA and Art Role in London 2008. Residency in Joya: arte + ecología Spain 2013. He is also part of Estrangement project from the beginning in 2008. He is Curator of, Dado Exhibition and Transform project.
Rebeen Hamarafiq, Born in Sulaymanyah/Iraq. Studied painting in the institute and College of Fine Art, at Sulaimanyah 1994-2003. Graduate Diploma Creative and culture Industry, at Goldsmiths London. final at MFA Fine Art at Goldsmiths. 1992-1995 Member of the Children’s Art Group, 2007- 2012 artistic Director of Hanar magazine, he is employee at the Ministry of Culture in Kurdistan Region Iraq. Lives and work between Sulaimanyah and London.
